Use our full color service to change the look, feel, and mood of a garment. This process is as non-destructive as possible and often only requires one round of our processing. Sampling is available and encouraged prior to committing to a color choice.
om·bré /ˈämbrā/ adjective
Having tones of color that shade into each other, graduating from light to dark.
Here we will be bringing two or more colors of your choice together in a scheme to your liking. We encourage consultation in the development of the color scheme and the use of sampling to explore color arrangement. Please consider the fabric composition of your garment when making this choice.
One of a kind Projects
There is no shortage of care when it comes to your hand made items. Bespoken, custom tailored, and handcrafted items are often more delicate than those made by machine. We consider very specific care instructions when handling such items. Ask us about varying dye options pertaining to silks, wool, cashmere, and other delicates as there are many possibilities.
cre·a·tiv·i·ty /ˌkrēāˈtivədē/ noun
The use of the imagination or original ideas, especially in the production of an artistic work.
More and more we see creative, elaborate, and artistic design in fashion. We offer a means for achieving individual patterning, coloring, and design as a post production addition to your piece.
Along with our restoration service, we can color and change the aesthetic of an heirloom piece. If a vintage piece has been kept in storage we advise restoring before coloring. Here are some examples of what others have done with their vintage items.
Restore and Renew
Vintage, classic, and antique articles of clothing are often subject to poor and insufficient storage methods. Our process concerning restoration is care forward and non-destructive. We cater to each piece individually with specific cleaning methods. This process does not apply solely to heirlooms and hand-me-downs. We recommend this prior to coloring in order to rid a garment of oils, soiling, dust or anything that might stand in the way of its renewal.
Unlike our restoration process which focuses on the renewal of the entire garment, when we “fix” a piece, our focus is about dealing with a specific problem area. For instance, coffee, wine, blood, oil or some other undesired spotting often can’t be remedied through cleaning. If such a stubbornness is the case we will explore a change of color in order to disguise or camouflage a blemish, allowing the garment to be worn again.
We offer all of our dye processes to the coloring of accessory items, including gloves, pocket squares, neckties, sashes, socks, belts, veils, lace, and then some. We will work to color match accessories to other pieces or fabric samples.
This is about Style. Develop personal style with color. Change the aesthetic of an item of clothing to alter its visual impact. We work with tailors (known to you or our own collaborators) in the deconstruction and reconstruction of a garment. This along with our coloring of the components allows for a completely creative rebuild. This process is fashion forward, fun and interesting.
